ABSTRACT: Early childhood education (ECE) plays a pivotal role in fostering partnerships between educational institutions and community stakeholders for children's holistic development. This study examines how ECE programs contribute to community partnerships and collaboration. The objectives are to (1) assess the extent of community involvement in ECE initiatives, (2) evaluate the impact of community partnerships on ECE program quality and accessibility, and (3) examine changes in community perceptions towards ECE contributions. A survey design is employed to gather comprehensive data on community partnerships and stakeholder engagement. A purposive sample of 150 community members and stakeholders from preschools in Cross River State was selected. The case study focuses on preschools known for their community engagement initiatives. Findings indicated increased community involvement in ECE initiatives, improved program quality, enhanced accessibility for children and families, and positive community perceptions towards ECE contributions. Recommendations include strengthening collaborative efforts between ECE programs and community stakeholders, fostering sustainable partnerships, and advocating for community support in early childhood education policies and practices.
